Taza welcomes a balanced mix of dining, retail, office and service providers that foster economic growth, innovation and community spirit. At The Shops of Buffalo Run, locally-owned businesses such as ENVI Optical, The Lab, and Who's Kitchen contribute their expertise and passion to Taza. These friendly faces are part of the growing Buffalo Run community, and each owner has a distinct story to share, offering services that range from eye care to innovative health solutions and fusion cuisine. Together, they highlight the diversity and vibrancy that make Taza and The Shops of Buffalo Run a unique and thriving community hub.
Community-Focused Care at ENVI Optical
ENVI Optical is more than just an eyewear boutique and optical clinic, it’s a reflection of the owners’ passion for accessible eye care, community connection and unparalleled service.
Dedicated to providing Tsuut’ina Nation and surrounding communities with high-quality eye-care services, the owners of ENVI Optical recognized The Shops at Buffalo Run as the perfect home for their business. With aligned values such as community connection and environmental stewardship, they saw Taza as an ideal place to grow their vision and make a meaningful impact on the local community. Guided by these shared values, ENVI Optical has grown into a thriving business at The Shops at Buffalo Run, employing eco-friendly practices to respect and protect the environment while collaborating with the Tsuut’ina Nation Health Centre to ensure accessible vision care and positive community impact.
At ENVI Optical, co-owners Lisa and Jason Taleb and Hai Vu bring their unique experiences to operating a small business at The Shops of Buffalo Run. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry and an unwavering dedication to accessible eye care, Lisa brings passionate expertise to her role, ensuring quality care for everyone who walks through the doors. Inspired by his wife’s enthusiasm, Jason—who grew up playing hockey on Tsuut’ina Nation—combines his business acumen, strong community ties, and desire to build connections to foster a welcoming environment. Last but certainly not least, Hai serves as ENVI Optical’s resident optician, offering personalized fittings using the latest and greatest technology. As the glasses guru, Hai is instrumental in ensuring consistent quality and customized care at ENVI Optical.

Innovative Physio and Data-Driven Rehab at The Lab
The Lab—Rehab and Performance provides cutting-edge physiotherapy services using data-driven rehabilitation to optimize patient recovery. Co-owners and physiotherapists Seamus McFadden and Radek Weicheki, alongside Maverick, their Client Experience Representative (a German Shepherd-Great Pyrenees mix), aim to break the barriers to recovery and provide accessible care while fostering a supportive, like-minded community.
Setting themselves apart from other physio providers, Seamus and Radek strive to redefine rehabilitation standards and fulfill their vision of "a world where recovery is guaranteed" (The Lab). Using objective and criteria-based physiotherapy methods, the co-owners are passionate about empowering every patient to reach their full potential while prioritizing pain and injury prevention, remaining true to their mission of elevating the standard of excellence in health care.
Alongside their data-driven physiotherapy approaches, The Lab’s services are complemented by innovative performance programs. These programs include performance battery testing, which gives athletes insight into their performance metrics and injury risks while enhancing patient outcomes, and state-of-the-art machines like force-plate technology and dynamometers—equipment trusted by professional sports teams. Between appointments, patients are able—and encouraged—to use The Lab’s 1000+ sq. ft. gym and Recovery Room for an optimal rehabilitation experience for “reduced pain and durable results” (The Lab).
Located near the Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Chief Jim Starlight Centre and within proximity to the other healthcare facilities located at Taza, The Lab’s location within The Shops of Buffalo Run provides the ideal location for creating a collaborative healthcare community, shaping the future of physiotherapy and growing as a small business.
